Photo Tips
All Kindergarten Soccer players will receive a team photo at the last game, if their team provides one. We ask that the coaches provide the photo using a digital camera and e-mail it to photos@kindergartensoccer.org. We have some requests and suggestions regarding the photo format and suggestions for taking a great team photo.
Requests:
- Please use a digital camera that shoots with at least 5 mega pixels.
- Please do not use a camera on a phone – the quality is always too blurry when printed.
- Do not take the picture with the team filling the whole frame – leave some background so text can be added.
- Please do not crop the photo or use any digital software to edit the photo. All editing will be done by us after team name is added.
- The best way to send the photo is to load it directly onto your computer from your camera and e-mail in its raw jpeg file rather than upload it to a photo website and then e-mail it.
Suggestions:
- Start trying to get a team photo early in the season – even if one player is missing (you don’t have to use it – but you have it in case you never have all players at a game). Otherwise you could end up without a photo at the end of the season.
- Take the photo between warm-up and start of game as players as all players are still around.
- Take an uncluttered photo – try to find a spot where people are not walking behind the team, and/or trash strewn about from snack time.
- Don’t take the picture with players looking into the sun – then you get a picture with players squinting and hands over eyes.
- Arrange players with some players standing in back and some kneeling in front.
- Take several shots and e-mail a couple for us to work with.
- It is best if you e-mail photos early in the season so that if there is any problem opening the file or with the picture we have time to take another picture.
